These positions will be operating at the Training Center on site in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates, we are currently looking for Certified SRO Classroom Instructors.  This is a contract position to be based in the UAE for a duration of 18 months with potential contract extension. Working hours are 38 hrs/week with up to a possibility of 12 hrs/week additional overtime if approved.

Role description

A need has arisen to acquire additional Operations Instructors to support the delivery of the scope of the Certified (Licensed) Operator Pipeline project to support plant startup and continued power operations.

SRO Operation Instructors (10 Classroom Instructors) are required to supplement the operation training department in the development and implementation of the Certified Operator training items including but not limited to the following:

• Developing BNPP Accelerated ISC Systems classroom lesson plans.

• Executing the Systematic Approach to Training process IAW BNPP procedures and policies.

• Presenting classroom topics IAW BNPP Certified Operator Training Program Procedures. 

Responsibilities

Classroom Instruction

• Provide stand-up instruction for Operations and Operations support personnel.

 Training Program Administration

• Support the operations training schedule.
• Design, develop and maintain training materials as assigned.
• Develop training plans and goals as required to support training needs.

Training Program Support

• Support subject matter experts in preparations to present training in various training settings.
• Support needs analysis to formulate recommendations for training and non-training solutions for identified weaknesses.

Training Program Improvement

• Evaluate management and student feedback regarding training to identify improvement opportunities.

Essential skills

• High School Diploma or equivalent with 3 years nuclear power plant experience in Operations or Operations Training.

• Currently or previously qualified as an SRO Operations Instructor and Currently or previously qualified licensed or certified SRO.

• Proficient in English and Excellent MS Office Skills.

Desired skills

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Engineering or other scientific discipline with 5 years relevant work experience of which 5 years must be within Nuclear Operations Training specifically.
• Meet minimum requirements with INPO Instructor Certificate.

Have or held an SRO license or certification.
